Middle School Sports Rotation
The middle school has started a winter sports rotation that runs every Wednesday afternoon. All students have been put in a group which is mixed with year 3 and year 4’s. The group names are native New Zealand animals. We meet on the field after lunch and Mrs Metcalfe calls out our group name and our first rotation. Halfway through the afternoon we switch to a new rotation. The sports that we rotate between are football, rippa rugby, hockey, netball, fundamental skills and gymnastics. There are lots of neat things about the rotation. We love trying new sports and learning new skills. We also enjoy meeting new people and mixing with our old friends. It is fun to have two new teachers for the afternoon too! We usually do a warm up, learn some skills and sometimes have a game. We look forward to the winter sports rotation each week. Fingers crossed it isn’t raining!
